I reported to Ray for almost 4 months. The passion, customer focus, attention to detail and responsiveness Ray demonstrated during my association with him were truly admirable. Ray is a leader who believes in empowering his team to deliver excellence while holding them accountable. He has been one of the major factors in helping me grow into a leadership role. Ray believes in leading by example and his enthusiasm and positive energy is infectious. In addition to being a great boss, Ray was a friend, mentor and guide to his team always willing to help out in any situation (personal or professional). Ray will be an asset to any organization he works for less.

"Ray and I first met through the University of Phoenix MBA program as one of Ray’s University Professors. I found through this experience that Ray retains a very unique skill set and through understanding of business enterprises and operational improvement from both a transactional and physical change perspective. Jointly we started a small consulting firm with the main emphasis on helping minority organizations to improve the operational effectiveness. We developed an enterprise hybrid improvement business model that uses Lean Six Sigma practices and tools for improving not only the physical operational environment of our clients, but also the combining the use of these LSS tools and practices by applying them to the organizations IT Business Enterprise Solutions and Product development and engineering organizations. Our model helped clients establish a three pronged Change Management approach that included optimization of the Product Change Management, (An area of a organization that typically governs the rate of change), the Physical Operational Effectiveness Change Management (the area of the company where people touch the product) and the Transactional Operational Effectiveness Change Management (the area of the company where peoples communicate and share information throughout the enterprise that relate to the product or service they are managing). Although Ray and I chose different career paths after having success with the company, I would highly recommend him for any level of an organization in nearly any role due to his diverse product, process and industry exposure” January, 2010

Ray Poirier joined Delphi about four months ago to help us with developing a "Future State Vision" for transitioning our legacy SAP 3.1 and 4.6 as well as QAD 9.0 and all there sub modules into a single SAP ECC 6.0 solution. There are over 160 manufacturing locations and 250 locations worldwide. Our ERP environments included added complexity of numerous customizations and bolt-on applications that interface with the ERP environments for managing different parts of our business. Ray's role was to collect the current state of information for these systems and to work with our consultants Deloitte and Cap-Gemmi to assist them in developing a future state environment. Ray also successfully assisted with defining and coordinating the ERP Transition Planning of a recently purchased MVL business unit with over 20 locations including manufacturing, engineering, and office buildings across the globe. Ray provided his vast PM expertise to follow-on with an enterprise infrastructure project to

Properly align appropriate resources necessary to complete the transition of Delphi's e-mail messaging systems to Forefront Online Protection for Exchange (FOPE) and the integration with Delphi's Data Loss Prevention (DLP) environment. This highly technical environment utilized Ray's technical skills as well as his program management techniques to pull together the correct resources to push to conclusion. Ray also helped in identifying and providing solutions to overcome some key improvements needed in our existing PMO process/procedures to assist us in complying with ITIL standards. This helped our projects run more smoothly and improved the level of technical data needed to transition our ERP environment to newer technology. Ray has shown that he has both high level competency and very detailed knowledge of both the QAD and SAP ERP systems as well as EDI interfaces. Ray worked well with our program management team members, business interface partners and Delphi service support suppliers. August , 2013

Ray work for TCS for a short amount of time but was ever effective in the projects he was asked to kick off for TCS. He served as Program Manager at our Client GM to kick of a global deployment of Siemens Team Center TCPCM Module, aka Total Cost Management Application for all product and tooling used for pricing setting targets in the GM Procurement system. Additionally say served as the Program Manager on a short (4) week project to with Pratt and Whitney to Test their Team Center 10.1 environment using HPQQ 10.1 to test Pratt and Whitney’s ITAR /EER Import/Export compliance solution to meet government defense industry standards that included the e development of over 31 test matrix, 171 test cases and the execution, defect tracking and resolution of those test case execution results. The project accomplished in 4 weeks allowed Pratt and Whitney to return to outsourcing engineering work globally where they were constrained from outsource to non US Citizens and countries based on  a security leak in the system nearly 2 years ago that force the DOD to demand the use of US Citizen only working on Pratt and Whitney jet engine design’s.

"Ray served as the Consumers Power CRB Applications Portfolio lead for HCL America that was under contract to Consumers Energy for the Daily maintenance and enhancement of Consumers CR&B SAP Applications including CRM, Device Management, Billing, Rate and FICA work streams. Ray team also supported various other applications including our Genesys IVR call management systems and a wide array of other support applications. Ray took over the portfolio with no structure to the team and an inability of HCL to performed  and delivery work to our applications in an organized or effective manner. Ray’s organization and stream lining of the processes, identification and plugging of resources gaps based on the technology and in educating our organization into the ticket management and prioritization process was instrumental in making the CRB Portfolio from a underperforming Portfolio to the most effective portfolio with the largest work load within Consumers Power.
